A FINELY CARVED RHINOCEROS HORN LIBATION CUP 17TH/18TH CENTURY The exterior finely carved and meticulously detailed with scholars and attendants in a wooded retreat, on one side a scholar is shown seated in front of a screen as he paints while watched by two other scholars and an attendant, with another attendant heating a pot of wine in the foreground, on the reverse a woman and an attendant carrying a lantern are seen on a bridge crossing the swirling waters of a stream, all surrounded by rock formations and trees, the branches of the two pine trees that form the handle at one end continuing over the rim atop clouds that trail towards rocks carved on the interior at the opposite end, of dark brownish-honey color 6 1/8 in. (15.5 cm.) long, wood stand carved as a dragon
