A finely engineered and detailed 1 1/16in scale 5 inch gauge model of the L.S.W.R. Class T3 4-4-0 locomotive and tender No.682, built by J.A.Johnson -- 14½in x 57½in (36.2 x 146cm) With silver soldered superheated copper boiler, the firebox stays screwed and soft solder corked and fittings including twin water gauges, pressure gauge, safety, blower and clack valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with inside Stephenson's link reverse with weighted way shaft, footplate controlled draincocks, fluted coupling rods, displacement lubricator, eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, dummy brake gear, the bogie with compensated springing, damper and dummy whistles. Further details include wooden cab floor, reversing mechanism with cut off graduations and locking lever. Tender details include brake gear, hand feed pump, hand rails and water cocks, tool boxes, steps, hand and lamp irons and draw bar check chains. Finished in L.S.W.R. livery. Boiler certificate to 12/5/95. See Illustration This model has not been steamed.
