A FIVE PIECE SILVER TEA SERVICE AND SMALL SALVER IN FITTED WOOD CHEST, maker's mark of Tiffany & Co., made by Moore, 1865-1870, comprising tea kettle, stand and lamp, teapot, two handled covered sugar bowl, cream jug, waste bowl and circular salver, each engraved with script initials E C F , compressed circular on rim foot, the mid section applied with die rolled geometric and paterae band within reeded borders, the pots with inverted anthemion engraved scroll spout, loop handle, the slightly raised hinged cover flat chased with arabesque frieze and topped by engraved button finial, the tea kettle with part matted foliate overhead swing handle, on rectangular base raised on four bracket feet, with elaborate part foliate multi scroll supports-- tea kettle on stand over handle 12½in. (31.7cm.) , the salver on three foliate tapering feet, acid etched with frieze of bellflower divided by broad leaf on punched ground, molded border and conforming die rolled rim-- 9in. (22.8cm.) diam., gross weight 137.5 , the rectangular two brass handled, fitted chest with Tiffany plaque, the hinged cover with applied silver monogrammed plaque, with detachable wood tray, all lined in purple velvet (5)
