Preserving the lower half of a seated scribe, likely from Karnak, wearing a long, pleated kilt with a flounced apron, a column of hieroglyphs descending along the front reading, "May you go out before the altar ... of Amen for the ka of the scribe of the Temple of Amen, Tjawy," his upper torso bare, the navel indicated within his fleshy abdomen, the kilt sagging below, his arms at his sides and resting on his lap, the left hand fisted, gripping a bolt of cloth, the block seat with a low backrest, his bare feet situated along the integral base, its sides sculpted with images of his family in sunk relief, the panel along his proper right side with his deceased wife enthroned before four kneeling daughters all holding lotus flowers, offering a kitten in her raised left hand, all captioned, his wife, "Mistress of the house, Chantress of Amen, Hathor, true of voice," the two daughters on the upper register, "his daughter Ikheret, his daughter Henutiryw," the two daughters on the lower register, "his daughter Nub ..., his daughter ...," the panel along his proper left side with an enthroned male figure, perhaps the deceased brother of Tjawy, captioned "...of his lord Amen, Khnumhotep, true of voice," a perfume cone atop his wig, raising one hand before three kneeling figures, including two sons of Tjawy captioned, "his son Ptahemheb, his son Khaut, true of voice" and a female figure holding three lotus blossoms with long stems, perhaps the mother of Tjawy, captioned, "Mistress of the house, Naia," all raising their arms in adoration, seat to the left of Tjawy's legs with his grandson, captioned as the "son of his son, Nefer-renpet" and to the right, his granddaughter, captioned as the "daughter of his daughter, Hemet-netjer, true of voice," with text in two columns along the back pillar with invocations to Khonsu and Osiris reading, "Osiris, foremost of the Westerners, may he give breath to the scribe of the temple, Tjawy" and "Khonsu Neferhotep, may he give bread, beer ... to the scribe of the offering table, Tjawy," the front of the base with a deep trapezoidal mortise 22 in.
