A FRENCH LEATHER MOUNTED AND POLYCHROME DECORATED WALNUT CABINET ON STAND LATE 19TH CENTURY Carved throughout with foliage, rosettes and Gothic tracery panels, the upper section with a central fall front panel centred by a shield on a painted ground of interlocking roundels, ribbon-tied foliage and confrontng masks and with ribbon and reed pilasters and a shallow drawer below, the sides with moulded panels and painted shields, the base with an arched painted panel depicting a standing figure, flanked by open compartments with ribbon and foliate pilasters and with three drawers below on moulded stile feet with shaped aprons, minor losses 69in. (175cm.) high; 39in. (99cm.) wide; 18½in. (47cm.) deep
