A FRENCH ORMOLU-MOUNTED KINGWOOD, BOIS SATINÉ AND FRUITWOOD MARQUETRY PIANO À QUEUE BY FRANÇOIS LINKE RETAILED BY MERCIER FRERES, THE MOVEMENT BY ERARD, SERIAL NUMBER 97453, PARIS, CIRCA 1910 In the Louis XV style, the hinged lid decorated with an acanthus border enclosing a torch and musical trophies, the bombé -shaped case applied with scrolled encadrements enclosing floral marquetry reserves, busts and trophies, centered to each side with a cartouche of scrolling acanthus, the keyboard cover signed ' Erard Paris ', on six cabriole legs headed by rocaille clasps and tapering to scrolled sabots, stamped with serial number 97453 to the case and lyre, the movement inscribed Par Brevet d'Invention Seb & Pre Erard 13&21 rue du Mail Paris , one chute signed F. Linke Closed: 41 ¾ in. (105 cm.) high, 59 in. (150 cm.) wide, 88 ½ in. (225 cm.) long
