A French ormolu-mounted purpleheart and floral marquetry-inlaid bureau plat In the Louis XV Style, After the Bureau du Roi by Francois Oeben and Jean-Henri Riesener Late 19th/Early 20th Century The serpentine-shaped top inset with a gilt-tooled tan leather writing surface, the frieze fitted with a central tulipwood-lined drawer with compartmented interior and flanked to each side by two further tulipwood-lined drawers each with a compartmented interior, the reverse with apparent drawers, the sides decorated with ribbon-tied laurel festoons with a central oval medaillon and with a pair of interlocking cornucopia emerging from palm fronds, the legs each headed by lion trophy pelts, with shaped reeded uprights, on scroll feet 74 in. (188 cm.) wide; 30¾ in. (78 cm.) high; 41 in. (104 cm.) deep
