A George III mahogany striking bracket clock , with alarm, the case on bracket feet with pierced wood sound frets to the sides and foliate gilt-brass quarter frets to the front door, the bell top with handle and four pineapple finials, the dial signed Geoe. Rowning London on a silvered sector in the matted centre with calendar aperture and silvered alarm disc, silvered chapter ring with pierced blued hands, foliate spandrels, strike/silent ring in the arch, the five pillar twin fusee movement with knife-edge verge escapement, strike/trip repeat on bell, the alarm with rosette-engraved pulley mounted on the backplate with finely engraved scrolling foliage with central flowering urn with two bees engraved on either side and on the backcock, similarly engraved movement securing brackets to the case -- 16¼in (41.5cm.) high.
