A GEORGE III SATINWOOD, ROSEWOOD, FRUITWOOD AND MARQUETRY CABINET Attributed to Mayhew and Ince The moulded cornice with a rosewood crossbanded, ebony and boxwood-strung frieze above a pair of glazed doors, conformingly inlaid, enclosing a satinwood-veneered interior, with two satinwood-veneered shelves, the fronts of the shelves and the surrounding frame inlaid with a satinwood and rosewood 'pearled' dot pattern, the lower section with a frieze drawer inlaid with a repeated motif of flowering rosettes each encircled by joined acanthus wreaths, the lower doors each with a central rosette with an incurved lozenge and ribbon-tied berried wreath, enclosing a further mahogany shelf, raised on a moulded plinth base, the locks to the doors replaced, the replaced Victorian lock to the upper section stamped 'BRAMAH PATENT' flanked by two crowns, minor restorations 77½ in. (197 cm.) high; 40 in. (102 cm.) wide; 15¾ in. (40 cm.) deep
