A GEORGE III SILVER TEAPOT, A VICTORIAN AND AN EDWARIAN SALVER The teapot maker's mark of D. Pontifex, London, 1800; the first salver Lias & Lias, 1874; the last Sheffield, 1904, M & Co., The partly fluted urn-form teapot engraved with crest, with partly fluted spout, wood loop handle, the hinged raised cover with fluted calyx under plumed cylindrical finial-- 6¾in. (17.1cm.) high ; the first salver shaped circular on three claw and ball feet, center with crest, engraved with broad arabesque band, far ground engraved JOHN HENRY BUXTON THE GIFT OF CHARLES BRUNTON ESQ. 1874 ; with beaded wavy rim-- 10in. (25.4cm.) wide , the second, circular on three shell and foliate tapering supports, with vacant foliate scroll shaped oval cartouche, engraved further with arabesque band including flowers, with applied broad stylized rocaille and foliate rim-- 10in. (25.4cm.) diam., gross weight 60oz. (3)
