A GEORGE V IRISH SILVER CENTERPIECE, Dublin, 1917, maker's mark TW, also stamped WEIR & SONS, in the early George III style, the tri-part centerpiece composed of a pair, flanking one larger dish ring, each dish ring detachable, each waisted cylindrical openwork with flowers, scrolls, and twice with dogs and stags, centering asymmetrical rocaille enclosed cartouche engraved with crest and motto, each inset with blue glass liner, the central dish on spreading frame, with monogram one side, crest and motto repeated the other, on four leg and paw supports, two issuing serpent headed branches to the pair of dishes-- 9½in. (24.1cm.) high--28in. (71.1cm.) across, the silver 82oz.
