A GRAECO-ROMAN OVAL JASPER INTAGLIO 1ST CENTURY B.C./2ND CENTURY A.D. The mottled green and yellow intaglio engraved with a lion attacking a deer beneath a tree, 1.3 cm. long; a Roman yellow agate oval intaglio with figure of Venus, holding her drapery in her right hand and a flower(?) in her outstretched left hand, 1st-2nd Century A.D., 1.2 cm. long; a red jasper oval intaglio with Bonus Eventus holding a stem of barley, 2nd-4th Century A.D., 1.6 cm. long; a cornelian oval intaglio with a deer and a vase, 1.9 cm. long; an orange agate domed oval intaglio with a leaping lion, 1.2 cm. long; a red jasper octagonal intaglio with the winged figure of Victory, an eagle(?) standing behind, 1.1 cm. long; and a banded agate oval intaglio with Achilles wearing a chlamys and helmet, standing with a spear before a column against which rests his shield, 1.3 cm. long, all 2nd-3rd Century A.D.
