A Great War M.C. group of eight awarded to Major J. E. Fasken, Army Service Corps Military Cross, G.V.R., unnamed as issued; 1914 Star, with clasp (Capt. J. E. Fasken, A.S.C.); British War and Victory Medals, with M.I.D. oak leaves (Major J. E. Fasken); Defence and War Medals 1939-45; Jubilee 1935; France, Third Republic, Medal of Recognition, Third Class, bronze, mounted court-style as worn, good very fine (8) £800-£1,000 Footnote M.C. London Gazette 1 January 1917. James Edward Fasken served on the Staff, 4th Army, in France and Flanders from August to December 1914, and from May 1915 until November 1918. In addition to the award of his M.C., he was twice mentioned in despatches (London Gazettes 1 January 1916 and 10 July 1917), and was awarded the French Medal of Recognition, 3rd Class (Services of Military Officers 1920, refers).
