KING EDWARD VII THE PICTURE, 19TH CENTURY, BOTH VOLUMES, 20TH CENTURY The picture applied with marqueterie de paille and depicting Tobias and the Archangel Raphael on the banks of the Tigris river, within a later giltwood frame, the back inscribed in pencil with gilder's note ' Tutt' oro invecchiato, non brillante ', the frame later; 'Four Plays by Oscar Wilde , London, The Unicorn Press (London) Ltd., 1944, comprising 'Lady Windermere's Fan'; 'A Woman of no Importance'; 'An Ideal Husband' and 'The Importance of Being Earnest' , with red morocco binding, and handwritten notes from Henry ('Chips') Channon and Violet Trefusis; and A Coronation book of H.M. King Edward VII, by W.J. Loftie, B.A., F.S.A., Cassel & Company, Ltd., La Belle Sauvage, London, with gilt-tooled red morocco binding The picture: 18¾ in. x 20 in.
