Comprising: 1) Indo-Arabian example, 19th century, made from a ram's horn with engraved silver mounts. 2) Persian example, 19th century, undecorated iron boat-form flask with spring-mounted stopper and retaining the scarce red cloth suspension cord and iron ramrod. 3) Moroccan horn-shaped brass example, the exterior side deeply engraved with scrollwork. 4) Brass North African example, cylindrical body decorated with engraving and pierced overlays. 5) Leather example, probably North African although similar examples are seen from Persia, the bulbous body with incised decoration, spout with ringed brass stopper. 6) Another, lacking the stopper. 7) Two flasks of unidentified origin although probably North African; the first fashioned from a cow horn with simple iron mounts, the second a leather-covered wooden example of flattened circular form with a bone spout. Condition: 1) Missing spout, silver with marks and small tears. 2) dark patina, some light pitting. 3), 4) Light marks. 5), 6) Showing wear, the second with large dent. 7) Both showing heavy wear, the second with tear to leather.
