A Group Of Indian Edged Weapons Mostly 19th Century Comprising a dagger with fullered double-edged blade reinforced at the point and medial ridge over most of its length on each side, swelling forte damascened with silver and gold foliage on both sides, and silver- and gold-damascened hilt of tulwar form, in red velvet-covered scabbard (worn); another, with recurved double-edged blade chiselled with animals in combat on each side, and silver-damascened hilt of khanjar form; two bich'hwas each of characteristic form, one with two recurved double-edged blades, and brass hilt with two applied brass elephants, in red velvet-covered and black leather-covered scabbard respectively, the latter with pierced brass chape; a pair of swords each with recurved bifurcated blade, and engraved brass hilt with monster-head pommel; a pair of jambiyas each with brass-mounted wooden hilt; a pair of daggers each with recurved blade and brass hilt including knuckle-guard; another brass-mounted dagger; and two beetle-cutters 6in.
