A GUAN-TYPE HEXAGONAL VASE YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735) The attenuated pear-shaped body is molded with six subtly fluted facets that rise from the flared foot cut with slits at two corners. The neck is flanked by a pair of ear-shaped handles, and the vase is covered allover with an opaque glaze of soft bluish-grey color suffused with a faint pattern of clear and light brown crackle. 11¼ in. (28.5 cm.) high
