A HEXAGONAL KAKIEMON DISH Fuku Mark, Edo Period (Late 17th Century) Decorated in iron-red, green, and black enamels and gilt on underglaze blue with a long tailed pheasant looking at another perched on a blossoming plum tree among bamboo and banded hedges, the everted rim with a continuous floral band of peonies and cherry blossom among foliage, the reverse with a band of stylised blossom and karakusa , chocolate rim 7.1/8in. (18cm.) diam.
