* A Khmer Sandstone Figure of Lakshmie angkor period, 10th-12th century the deity depicted standing in samabangha, wearing a long sampot secured at the waist by a wide belt, the serene face with almond shaped eyes, flanked by elongated earlobes, all below an elaborate diadem, on a later black stand. Height 48 inches. Estimate $ 20,000-40,000 Property from the Collection of Jean-Philippe-Nefve, Hinsdale, Illinois Note: Accompanied by a copy of a sales receipt form T.C. Art & Antique, Bangkok, Thailand, dated 7-3-35 in Thai calendar, corresponding to March 7, 1992 Overall decent and stable condition. Having erosion throughout consistent with age, use and exposure to the weather. Old scuffs and marks consistent with age and maybe transportation issues. Having chips to the headdress, ears, stomach and the flaring waist of the sampot. The figure is in three sections but hold together by the mounting.
