A Korean iron brown-decorated "Dragon" jar joseon dynasty, 17th/18th century Of slightly compressed ovoid form, with short, slightly flared neck, raised on a short circular footring, boldly painted with a sinuous four-clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl, among stylized clouds, the ground a rich ivory with pale brown staining, the edge of the foot burned red-brown. H: 7 1/4 in., 18.5cm Provenance: Property from a private collection, Florida. LITERATURE: Martin Hall Barnes Lorber, "A Promenade through a Selection of Korean Ceramics in a Private Florida Collection", Arts of Asia, September-October 2013 p. 118, fig 28.
