A KYO-YAKI RECTANGULAR KOGO AND COVER in the style of Nonomura Ninsei , the cover surmounted by a model of a recumbent ox bearing on its back three attributes of Jurojin , a scroll, a Chinese fan and a reishi sceptre, in a large circular reserve enamelled with plants on a black ground with a floral motif in each corner, the sides with enamelled shipppo design, the interior with a gilt asanoha design on a dull red ground, impressed mark Ninsei, 19th Century, 7.5 x 7.5 x 2.0 cm. high; and another, circular modelled with a rat finial and a stylised character, the interior decorated with fans in gilt and enamels, 19th Century, 8 cm. diam. x 2.3cm deep, each with a fitted wood box (2)
