Comprising 108 lapis lazuli beads, divided by four fotou (Buddha head) jasper beads, the fotou at the back connected to a gourd-shaped fotouta (Buddha head stupa), suspending a jasper beiyun (black cloud) oval plaque, terminating with a silvered filigree-mounted, tear-shaped bead suspended from a pink tape band wrapped with dark green and gray threads. Provenance: James P. Chen & Co., Hong Kong, 28 January 1992. A private collection in Las Vegas, USA, acquired from the above and thence by descent within the same family. A copy of the original stamped invoice from James P. Chen & Co., dated 28 January 1992, accompanies this lot. Condition: Very good condition with minor old wear and some traces of use, mostly to the textile bands, a minuscule nick to the beiyun bead.
