The horse has a U-shaped fitting on its back carrying a separately-made carriage, elevated by two large wheels. The coachman sits in the open compartment of the carriage with both hands raised as if to hold the reins. 46 ½ in. (118 cm.) high Provenance By repute, Private American Collection, 1984.
