Painted in rich enamels with brightly colored large, serrated leaves in underglaze-cobalt-blue, lime green, turquoise and pink with gilt highlights, a composite hibiscus (rose-mallow) flower-head dominating one side and supported on a lime-green stalk, other flowers including a composite iron-red and gilt chrysanthemum and peony, further poppy, camellia and daisy dispersed around the dish, simple iron-red and underglaze blue flowering branches to the reverse.
