A large Louis XVI ormolu mounted marble portico mantel clock with calendar, Charles Le Roy circa 1780 16-cm enamel dial with Arabic numerals signed Ch.les Le Roy à Paris, outer five minute marking and red date numerals, centre with day of the week and daysign, fine pierced and engraved gilt fleur-de-lis hands, date pointer and serpent day hand, substantial flat bottomed countwheel bell striking anchor movement with silk suspended sunburst pendulum, marble case surmounted by an ormolu eagle flanked by two lions on a moulded cornice, supported by four black marble ormolu capped columns with trophies in between, white marble break front base with foliate scroll mounts and a classical relief, raised on four turned feet height 68.5cm
