A large quantity of Meccano, unboxed and from various eras of production, contained in eight plastic containers and several cardboard boxes, box one contains a collection of pulleys, gears of various sizes, a quantity of rimmed wheels and flat plates, a six inch turntable wheel, box two contains a collection of angle brackets, two pre-war funnels in red and black, corner brackets, some circular parts and pinions, with a wooden tray holding a large quantity of rods with various jointed couplings, handles and cranks, box three contains a large collection of base plates, mostly 6.5cm x 14cm, with angled platforms and others, approximately fifty pieces, box four contains several boiler components with a collection of wheels, bearings and quadrant shaped toothed flat plates, with a battery box, box five contains a mixture of wheels and tires, wheels are in both steel and plastic with metal inserts in various sizes, also containing a good quantity of grey tires, box six contains a large quantity of long flat plates, cross girder sections, hinged sections and a variety of colours of girders, corners flat plates, angled brackets and others, colours range from blue with gold cross hatched, green, red and yellow, box seven contains a large quantity of mainly green flat and corner girder strips, the longest approximately 12 inches, approximately 150 pieces, box eight contains a variety of mainly boxed items to include several lengths of chain, approximately 12 inch rods, nuts and screws, springs, washers, nuts and bolts, hooks, perforated wheels, screw drivers, box nine contains a variety of Meccano parts, mainly in red and green, a partially made Tri-car, a box of rubber tires in black and grey, angled girders, flat plates, some aeroplane parts and some wheels, a Meccano Mechanised Army Construction Set, base in polystyrene, with lid and a Meccano 4M electrical set (most parts missing), also a tray containing a variety of Meccano magazines dating from the 1940s, '50s and '60s, in various sizes
