A LARGE VENETO-SARACENIC BRASS SALVER PROBABLY VENICE, EARLY 16TH CENTURY With wide sloping rim and rounded lip, rounded cavetto and flat base, the surface completely covered with intricate engraved decoration comprising floral arabesques, scrolls and endless knots in a series of concentric bands, the reverse with the Morosini family crest and an old collection sticker, minor dents and rubbing, rim drilled 19½in. (49.2cm.) diam.
