A late 18th-Century dry card compass signed G. Adams N.60, Fleet Street, London the 6in. (15cm.) dia replacement compass card signed H. Hughes, Union Terrace, Commercial Rd. London suspended in a gimballed brass bowl, painted white on the inside, red on the exterior, the brass outer ring signed by Adams and numbered 2732 , the whole mounted in a green painted period wood box with loose lid, the box -- 10¾ x 10¾ x 6in.
