A Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Kingwood Bureau Plat first half 20th century the shaped rectangular top of serpentine outline with eared corners having an inset tooled leather writing surface above a central long drawer flanked by two short drawers on each side and a series of opposing faux drawers, raised on cabriole legs mounted with foliate cast espagnolettes ending in sabots. Height 30 1/4 x width 70 3/4 x depth 35 inches. Estimate $ 800-1,200 In decent, stable condition. Leather top intact and tight but with some minor discoloration and light wear. Exterior veneers and inlays with fairly even finish, some age splitting and bubbling to the veneers with minor areas of loss. All drawers open and close, upper left short drawer sticks. Central drawer with lock and one key. All bronze mounts appear present with dirty/spotted patina. Additional images available upon request. Height from floor to bottom of side drawers 19 inches.
