CIRCA 1728-30, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK
A MEISSEN CHINOISERIE PLATE CIRCA 1728-30, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK Painted in the manner of J.G. Höroldt , the centre with a 'salami' medallion of iron-red foliage and green, yellow and purple flowerheads, the well with a band of interlocking gilt scrolls enclosing Böttger -lustre diamond-shaped panels with gilt trelliswork, the border with gilt scrolls and strapwork centred by Böttger -lustre and gilt flowerhead panels alternating with four cartouches painted with Orientals at various pursuits on terraces, one scene with three figures tending a tea-kettle on a fire, another with figures seated at a low table, within four elongated quatrefoil Böttger -lustre cartouches issuing brown and gilt scrolls, within a gilt rim, the underside with three branches of indianische Blumen (some slight wear to enamels of central medallion and some typical minor wear to gilding) 8¾ in. (22.2 cm.) diam.

A MEISSEN CHINOISERIE PLATE CIRCA 1728-30, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK Painted in the manner of J.G.
