A Mexican sterling silver flatware service for six, William Spratling Print The knives circa 1951 - 1965, each marked with William Spratling ''WS'' intertwined script mark within a circle, further marked with Eagle ''30'' mark, the dinner knives each marked ''Ecko Fina / Acero Inoxidable / Hecho en Mexico'' to blade; the rest 1962 - 1964, each marked ''William Spratling / Taxco / Mexico / .925'' and with Spratling ''WS'' intertwined script mark within a circle, further marked with Eagle ''30'' mark, a hand wrought service for six, each piece with applied disks and / or bands of wrapped silver wire typical of Spratling's Third Design Period, comprising: 6 dinner forks (7.25''); 6 tablespoons (7.75''); 6 stainless steel-bladed dinner knives (8.5''); 6 luncheon forks (6.125''); 6 teaspoons (5.875''); 2 butter knives (5.875''); and 2 serving spoons (10.625''), 34 pieces, together with a wooden canteen, weighable sterling 54.06 oz troy approximately, Provenance: Private Collection, Los Angeles, CA. Condition: Overall good condition. General marks, scratches, and minor tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Weight does not include steel-bladed articles.
