A Nymphenburg figure of a cheese-vendor Circa 1760, impressed Bavarian shield mark Modelled by Franz Anton Bustelli , his black hat tilted on his head, wearing an orange-lined brown jacket, puce breeches with blue bows and black pointed boots, holding a cheese-knife in his right hand and perched on the corner of a rectangular chest with rope handles at the sides and a gilt-edged impressed Bavarian shield at the front, with four cheeses on the hinged top, a set of scales with a gilt weight and circular platform at the foot of the chest, on a shaped flat mound base incised and painted with tufts of grass and edged with sweeping gilt scrolls (slight chipping to cord of scales, minute chipping to right ribbon, slight wear and flaking to black enamel, two flakes to brown enamel) 6 5/8 in. (17cm.) high
