(From the Curious to the Extraordinary, 6th May 2021) A PAIR OF 20TH CENTURY SILVERED METAL CHAMPAGNE BUCKETS ON STANDS A PAIR OF 20TH CENTURY SILVERED METAL CHAMPAGNE BUCKETS ON STANDS the Chinese style buckets on tripod bases cast with dragon masks, the buckets with dragon handles, on three paw feet, 21cm wide x 77cm high (2) Provenance: From a set bought in the early noughties at the refurbishment of a celebrated – but anonymous, Mayfair Chinese Restaurant. Viktor Wynd’s Museum, London. The Viktor Wynd Museum of Curiosities, Fine Art & UnNatural History is a contemporary reinterpretation of a Pre-Enlightenment Wunderkabinett or Cabinet of Curiosities. It is the creation of artist and writer Viktor Wynd, who has just opened a Falmouth branch of his museum inside the National Maritime Museum. His most recent book 'The UnNatural History Museum' was published by Prestel in 2020. (Qty: 2)
