Beschreibung:

Each double gourd panel is decorated with two characters ‘da ji’ in gilt bronze on a cloisonné enamel ground of leafy gourd vine, surrounded by a band of bats and clouds, with further gilt bronze bats at the edges. The panels are inset into a black lacquer ground decorated with confronting dragons amongst cloud scrolls. The hongmu frames are carved with acanthus scrolls and surmounted by a cloisonné enamel kui dragon hanger. Each reverse is decorated with scattered gilt flowers on a lacquer ground. Please note: this lot contains hongmu and is therefore subject to the relevant trade restrictions in correspondence with CITES regulations.
