A PAIR OF DERBY BOTANICAL TWO-HANDLED SAUCE-TUREENS AND COVERS painted in the manner of John Brewer with specimen flowers, named in blue script in English and Latin on the bases, the borders with gilt pendant lily-of-the-valley and with gilt rims (hairline crack to one handle, extended firing-crack to one cover), 18cm. wide; and two dessert-plates en suite , painted with Helleborus Niger. Black Hellebore, or Christmas Rose. and Kalmia Latifolia, Broad-leav'd Kalmia. (Christmas Rose with slight scratching to enamels, Kalmia repaired), about 23cm. diam., Crown, crossed batons, D marks and pattern no. 115 in blue, the tureens with impressed & marks, Wm. Duesbury & Co., circa 1890 (4)
