A PAIR OF FRENCH SILVER CAST CANDLESTICKS IN THE REGENCE MANNER MARK OF JACQUES DUGUAY, PARIS, 1737 Octagonal domed bases part-fluted and chased with foliage, the knopped columns chased with flowers, scrolls and strapwork, the later detachable nozzles with English import marks for London, 1933, the fluting to bases centred by a rococo cartouche engraved with a coat of arms in a lozenge below a coronet as used by children and grandchildren of the sovereign and in the 18th century also by princes of the Royal blood 9 ½ in. high (24 cm.) 31 oz.
