A PAIR OF GRISAILLE AND GILT MYTHOLOGICAL-SUBJECT PLATES; AND ANOTHER SIMILAR CIRCA 1750 The pair decorated en grisaille and gilt with Venus and Cupid in a chariot drawn by two doves amongst clouds approaching Minerva and a reclining figure, possibly Telemachus, beside a shield and sword lying on the ground; and another with a similar depiction with Venus and Cupid approaching an embracing couple, underside chips 9 in. (23 cm.) diam. (3)
