A PAIR OF LOUIS XVI ORMOLU THREE-LIGHT CANDELABRA decorated with two-tone, matt and burnished gilding, each with a pair of classical maidens after Falconet, each with flowing robes and flowers in her hair, one embracing the other who supports a vase issuing fruiting foliage and grapes and stalky flowers with leaves and buds, the nozzles in the form of stylised flowers, each with a drip-pan with beaded rim, one drip-pan replaced, upon an oval white marble plinth with beaded moulding above a foliate-scrolled moulding and ribbon-tied flower-trails hung with tassels, on turned feet cast with stiff leaves 34½in.
