A PAIR OF LOUIS XVI ORMOLU TWIN-BRANCH WALL LIGHTS decorated in two-tone gilding, each with laurel-entwined reeded tapering quiver backplate headed by a leafy foliate capital supporting Jupiter's eagle, one facing left, the other right, with both claws upon a flaming torch issuing lightning bolts, upon a demi-lune base, with foliage-wrapped berried boss issuing two scrolled cornucopiae branches wrapped at the bases by a ribbon-tie, the part-fluted stems cast with acanthus scrolls and headed by nozzles cast with vine-leaves and grapes, fitted but not drilled for electricity, one branch repaired at the base on one, the nozzles formerly hung with chains 19in. (48cm.) high; 9½in. (24cm.) wide (2)
