A PALE GREEN-PAINTED AND PARCEL-GILT MAHOGANY FOUR POSTER BED POSSIBLY BY THOMAS CHIPPENDALE THIRD QUARTER 18TH CENTURY, THE CORNICE SECOND QUARTER 19TH CENTURY The serpentine-shaped and spirally-turned canopy hung with floral painted pelmet, above turned tapering and fluted front posts and square moulded block feet, with a box-spring covered in buttoned blue and white striped ticking, with a handwritten label to cornice '4 POST CHIPPENDALE BED (HEIRLOOM) GREEN ROOM F, the box-spring with manufacturer's label inscribed 'NOSTELL PRIORY WAKEFIELD' and dated '20/11/80', the headboard in two sections, later decorated 109 in. (277 cm.) high; 82½ in. 6' 10", (210 cm.) wide; 92 in. (233 cm.) long
