A RARE AND IMPORTANT PARCEL-GILT SILVER AND NIELLO SOUP-TUREEN MARK OF SEMEN PETROV KUZOV, MOSCOW, 1799 Oval, on a pedestal foot and stepped square base with pierced border, the body applied with two lion-mask ring handles, the sides nielloed with allegorical figures, on a chased scalloped gilt ground, beneath a pierced rim, the domed cover similarly nielloed with allegorical scenes on a chased scalloped gilt ground, one side centring the coat-of-arms of Count Sheremetev within an oval reserve surmounted with a ribbon crest and supported by two winged putti, all beneath laurel swags with suspending festoons and floral garlands, with a pinecone finial, marked on cover, handles and under base 12 in. (35 cm.) high, 16 in. (46 cm.) wide
