A RARE AND MAGNIFICENT BRONZE FIGURE OF SHIVA TRIPURAVIJAYA SOUTH INDIA, TAMIL NADU, CHOLA PERIOD, CIRCA 1050 Standing triumphantly with one foot on the back of a prostrate dwarf raised on a rectangular plinth, the body held in a graceful tribhanga pose and clad in a short dhoti and adorned with various jewelry, with the primary hands held in the gestures of holding an arrow and bow and the secondary hands holding a goad and the dimunitive antelope, the face held in a confident gaze surmounted by the tall jatamukuta, supporting various jewels, flowers, snakes, and a crescent moon 32 3/8 in.
