A RARE CASED GARNITURE OF BELGIAN REVOLVERS, MODELS '.36 COLT BREVETE' & '54-BORE ADAM'S PATENT', serial no's. 6322 & 4509, circa 1855, the first in imitation of a Colt 1851 Navy, with blued octagonal 7 1/2in. barrel signed 'COLT BREVETE', plain blued cylinder with roll-engraved scene, blued open iron frame, brass trigger-guard and grip-straps, smooth walnut one-piece grip and brushed bright articulated loading lever, the second in imitation of an 1851 pattern Adams, with blued octagonal 6in. barrel, the top-strap and flat signed 'MANUFD. BY C. DANDOY, LICENCED BY DEANE ADAMS & DEANE LONDON', plain five-shot cylinder, borderline and scroll engraved solid frame, spurless hammer, chequered walnut one-piece grip with cap-box to heel, no provision for loading lever, both pistols in fine condition with much original finish remaining; TOGETHER WITH a period mahogany case compartmented and lined in green baize in the Continental fashion containing the pistols and a host of accessories including a flask, two brass bullet moulds, two turn-screws, a loading convertible mallet cleaning rod, an oil bottle, wad-punch and two nipple keys
