a rare commemorative egg-shell porcelain tea-service The decoration by Samuel Schellink manufactured by Rozenburg, 1904 The pots of waisted square section form, rectangular strap-handles, square covers with openworked plume-finials, the cups of swollen cylindrical form and of octagonal section, with strap-handle, octagonal saucers, the white ground painted in shades of green, brown, orange and yellow and decorated with trailing hop tendrils, with a barrel containing the monogram ZHB , with coat-of-arms containing a stork and the monogram CJD , comprising a large oval tray with upstanding rim, inscribed 1901-1903 above Den Directeur C.J. Duurentijdt als bewijs van hoogachting en waardee-ring aangeboden door het College van Commissarissen der Zuid-Hollandsche bierbrouwerij , a teapot and cover, a two-handled sugar-bowl and cover, a milkjug with small spout, seven cups and saucers and five extra cups (milkjug with small restoration) Tray 38cm. long Teapot 18cm. All with printed marks Rozenburg Den Haag , all with painted workorder number 94 and artist's monogram and yearmark (16)
