A RARE DUTCH-DECORATED EWER Circa 1745 The large, footed helmet-shaped jug of European silver form and enamelled after Meissen Kakiemon style porcelain, the exterior showing a tiger and a pair of quail amongst colorful rocks and blossoming boughs in a Kakiemon palette, the interior with Meissen Chinoserie style iron-red and gilt serpents flanking a phoenix whose tail circles up to its breast 9 7/8in. (25.1cm.) high
