A RARE IMPERIAL YELLOW, RED AND WHITE THREE-PART GLASS VASE INCISED QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE SQUARE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-95) Of slender baluster form, the opaque white body carved through the red overlay with four quatrefoil panels successively depicting a lingzhi spray under the sun, a house under the moon, a bat flying over breaking waves, and a pair of cranes under a paulownia tree, all between a band of linked lingzhi sprays and a band of ruyi heads, the waisted yellow-glass neck carved in shallow relief with interlinked foliate scrolls above a ridged section with a classic scroll, the spreading base similarly decorated with a classic scroll above key pattern, the neck and base separately modelled with locking mechanism to fit into body, foot chips repaired, crack 5¾ in. (14.6 cm.) high
