A RARE INSCRIBED AND DATED MUGHAL STYLE PALE GREENISH-WHITE JADE BOWL INSCRIBED QIANLONG GENGXU XIA YUTI , CORRESPONDING TO SUMMER 1790, AND OF THE PERIOD The thin, translucent sides well carved in relief with three overlapping rows of leaves, the tips of the uppermost leaves curled outward below the slightly everted rim, with a pair of chrysanthemum-sprig handles suspending grooved loose rings, the interior carved in the center with a flowerhead surrounded by radiating leaves and budding stems, all below a lengthy Qianlong imperial poem, dated and with the seal of the emperor, bi de , incised around the sides and still showing faint traces of gilding, the base carved as a large flowerhead with bands of radiating petals extending to the petal-carved foot rim--9½in.
