A RARE LARGE PAIR OF ZITAN 'LOTUS' ARMCHAIRS The thick sides and back rails are carved on both sides with lotus flowers and leaves above the seat set within the wide oval frame. The aprons are carved in similar fashion with dense clusters of lotus leaves and flowers issuing from stems carved on the thick, inward-curved legs set into the base stretcher. The legs are carved with further lotus and continue to form the wide foot rest carved in a linear manner with a massive lotus leaf. 39 in. (99.1 cm.) high, 31 in. (78.8 cm.) wide, 25½ in.
