A SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND PENDANT NECKLACE, BY GRAFF The pendant designed as a pavé-set diamond heart with calibré-cut sapphire surround to the pear-shaped diamond surmount and diamond collet necklace, 42.0 cm. Signed by Graff Laurence Graff began his career at the age of 14 as an apprentice in London's jewellery district of Hatton Garden. From being a repairman, he quickly graduated to creating his own diamond rings and at the age of 17, set up his own business. Today, Graff is one of the most famous dealers in rare and important historical diamonds as well as the finest gem quality emeralds, rubies and sapphires. He has handled many notable diamonds such as The Idol's Eye, The Emperor Maximillian, The Porter Rhodes and The Windsor Yellows. In 1973, he became the first jeweller to be presented with the Queen's Award to Industry, followed four years later by the Queen's Award for Export Achievements. His company, Graff Diamonds Limited, located in Knightsbridge, London, offers not only quality gemstones but also finely-crafted jewellery.
