Arty.); 1939-45 Star; Burma Star; War Medal; India Service Medal, these late four unnamed as issued; Pakistan Independence 1947 (PJO-2506 Sub Ali Bahadur R.P.A.) first with edge bruise, very fine and better (6) £600-800 Footnote I.D.S.M. London Gazette 9 March 1943. Recommendation: ‘For outstanding courage, discipline, loyalty and devotion to duty at all times throughout the campaign in Burma and especially at Pa-an Ferry (11-12 Feb 1942) at Bilin River (17-21 Feb 1942) at Mokpalin (22-23 Feb 1942) and at Yenangyaung (17-19 Apr 1942). He displayed initiative and resource of a high order and never allowed the conditions, however exacting, nor the fire of the enemy to lower his high standard of technical efficiency and accuracy.’ With copied recommendation.
